Eduardo González López

 

 

Eduardo González López

was born in Salamanca, Spain. From 2002 to 2005 he studied cello at Folkwang Hochschule Essen with Professor Alexander Huelshoff. At the same time, he played for different teachers as Pergamenschicow, Starker, Goritzki, among others. During those years, he played in the most important concert halls in Europe. In 2004, he received the prestigious Von Humboldt Foundation scholarship to study at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf.


In 2013, he obtained the position of chairman of the strings department at the High Conservatory of Castilla – La Mancha (Albacete, Spain). He has performed concerts as a soloist and chamber music all over the world (China, Greece, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain). Nowadays, he plays an Italian cello by Gaetano Sgarabotto (Parma, 1935).


He is the chief conductor and artistic director of the Orchestra Camerata of Castilla - La Mancha. Recent concerts include performances in Colombia (Iberacademy Orchestra, with Kirill Troussov), Spain, Greece, and Austria. Also, his debut with the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
