GUIMARÃES CLÁSSICO

Guimarães Music Academy is a new summer music academy directed at young advanced musicians in the beautiful setting of Unesco Heritage town of Guimarães, Portugal.This course will comprise solo lessons, chamber coaching and chamber orchestra with leading professors Vasko Vassilev, Emanuel Salvador, Andriy Viytovych, Emilia Goch Salvador, Rafal Jezierski and Szymon Guzowski. During the course, the students will have a minimum of three solo lessons, chamber music coaching and will work in a chamber orchestra led by the professors, giving a chance to work closely with such artists and learn from that process. Apart from the lessons, there will be a number of concerts during the week which will feature both the professors and students in which the work developed will be presented to the general public.A very limited number of individual places are available.
Classes will be imparted at the Guimarães Conservatoire.
Concerts will take place in various concert halls, churches and museums in Guimarães.
Charges Course fee:
For active participants – 350 Euro
(without accommodation)
This includes 3 individual lessons, chamber ensemble coaching and rehearsals led by the professors.
Various concerts by professors, students and joint ensembles of professors and students.
For passive participants – 100 Euro
(without accommodation)
this includes passive participation in all courses, and access to all the festival activities

Accommodation for the whole period of the course (arrival 13th August 2023 – Departure 20th August 2023):
Guimarães Clássico has a limited number of rooms at Pousada da Juventude de Guimarães (Guimarães Youth Hostel) for a special price of 180 euro (for the full period) in a double bedroom / per person including breakfast.
Participants who wish to use the suggested accommodation, are invited to include this in their application form. There are very limited places for this offer!
The accommodation fee should be added to the payment of the course fee.
Apart from this option, Guimarães has a big offer of hostels and hotels.
